After a quiet couple of weeks on the playing fields our U10, U12 and Minor hurlers make a return to action this weekend. Our U12s have been unbeaten to date in the Championship and they play Sylane, in Sylane, in the last game of the season. In effect this is a Final (as both teams are haven’t lost a game) but no trophy will be awarded to the winners, as emphasis at U12 level and indeed at U10 level is on enjoyment of the game. This group of players have had a busy year, representing the club so well at the International Hurling Festival, as part of the Championship winning U13 side and also as members of the U14 panel.
The U10s will take part in the Garda Hurling Tournament, organised by Ollie King, in Mountbellew. It’s an early start with the games starting at 10am. Meanwhile in Loughrea our Minor hurlers will make a return to action after a long break, in the Minor B Quarter-Final against Killimor at 12pm. The other Minor B Quarter-Finals are as follows: Ahascragh-Fohenagh v Oranmore-Maree; Kilconieron v Moycullen; Clarinbridge v Rahoon-Salthill.
