It was a busy weekend for the club’s teams on the playing fields, with the Senior, Junior A and Minor teams in action. The Seniors had two challenge games, the second game seen them travelling to Mullingar, to play Dublin side Lucan Sarsfields. They won both games. These games will no doubt help the management fine tune their plans for the upcoming first round of the Senior Championship, against Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry, in two weeks time. The Junior A team had a tough start to their season in Woodford, when they came out on the wrong side of the scoreline, against a very good Tommy Larkins side. The Minors got off to a flying start in the Minor B1 Championship, accounting for Sylane, in Ballymacward, on a scoreline of 4-12 to 0-4. They now go on to play Shekana in the second group game, this coming Saturday (14th) at 5pm in Skehana.
