Last year was a memorable Feile year for the Club with our U14s capturing the Justin Cheevers Cup and going on to represent Galway at the All-Ireland Feile. The draws for the 2016 Feile Hurling competitions were made Wednesday night in Cheevers, Craughwell. Pearses will compete in the Feile Shield competition this year. The other teams in our Group are Tuam (Hosts), Portumna, Abbeyknockmoy and St Thomas’s. The games will be played on the weekend of Friday 15th – Sunday 17th April. Pearses are away to Portumna on the Friday evening, with the other games being played in Tuam the following day.
With three Senior League games played, underage competitions are now also under way. The U14 hurlers defeated Tuam in their Round 1 game. The U16s have had good wins over Ballinasloe and Oranmore-Maree, while losing out narrowly to Headford in the Football League.
