The annual Fandamp;eacute;ile na nGael Competition (Hurling, Camogie and Handball) takes place in Galway this year, on the Weekend of June 26th-28th, for the first time since 1993. Padraig Pearses will host Eoin Ruadh Hurlers from Dungannon (Tyrone) and Pearses Camogie club will host St. Joseph’s, Madden (Armagh).
The Pearses U14 hurlers compete in Division 4 of the Hurling Competition. The teams in their group are as follows: Abbeyknockmoy, Ballina James Stephens (Mayo) and Eoin Ruadh. Some of the Group matches will be played in Ballymacward.
The U14 Camogie team compete in Division 4 of the Camogie Competition, with the other teams in their group as follows: Portumna, St. Kevin’s, Dunleer (Louth) and St. Josephs, Madden (Armagh). Just one of the Camogie Group matches will be played in Ballymacward.
Loughrea will be the main centre of Fandamp;eacute;ile 2011, with the Parade taking place there on Friday 24th. Games and Events will take place in various grounds all over the county. For more information visit the Féile na nGael website.
