Annaghdown 4-11 Pearses 0-9: Our Junior A hurlers played in Round 4 of the Championship on Sunday last, against Annaghdown in Abbeyknockmoy. The team was comprosed predominantly of younger players, eleven of them Under 23, so Manager Tomandamp;aacute;s Kenny is looking to the future. This was Annaghdown’s first team and they are Group B table toppers, unbeaten so far and they proved their pedigree with two goals in the first-half to lead at half-time on a scoreline of 2-4 to 0-5. They improved on their first-half showing in the second period, registering 2-7 to run out easy winners. Pearses have now played four Junior A Championship games, winning one, drawing one and losing two.
