Our Senior hurlers were scheduled to play Turloughmore in the Preliminary Quarter-Final of Kilbeacanty’s 50th Anniversary 7s Tournament. However, Turloughmore had withdrew earlier this week, so Pearses were straight through to the Quarter-Final where they were pitted against Clarinbridge. John Raftery had selected a panel of 10, mainly younger players, interchanging throughout. In a goalfest, Pearses emerged 7-1 to 5-1 winners of this game. Next up was the Semi-Final against Gort, who also had a bye to their Quarter-Final, where they had defeated Ardrahan on a scoreline of 7-3 to 2-5. The Semi-Final came too soon after the Clarinbridge game for Pearses and Gort’s greater freshness was to the fore as they defeated Pearses on a scoreline of 4-11 to 1-5. Gort then went on to contest the Final, losing out to County Champions St. Thomas’.andamp;nbsp;
